Hi everyone, I’ve had my 2020 hybrid for about 5 months now and put around 6,000 miles on it. Recently, I’ve been dealing with both the yellow and red warning lights popping up on my dash. Just this morning, the car told me to pull over with a red light warning. I drove it half a mile back home, turned it off and on again, and the lights disappeared. The issue is, I can’t seem to keep the lights on long enough to get any error codes.
Has anyone here experienced something like this? It’s still running the original battery, so I wonder if that’s the problem.
Have you tried using the FordPass app? I sometimes get random check engine lights on my 2021 hybrid. They tend to go away after a few drives, but the app tells me what the problem is and whether it’s serious.
Nothing at all, no alerts or history. I even went to AutoZone, and their code reader didn’t find anything either.
I had something similar happen with my 2021 Escape SE. My app showed a powertrain failure alert, but when I took it to the dealership, they said everything was fine except for a small transmission gasket leak. No warning lights on my dash, just the alert in the app. Maybe your issue is something minor too?
It’s under the service tab. You should see it below the odometer reading and above the graphic that shows your tire pressure. Any system alerts appear there.
