For the past couple of days, I keep getting this notification every time I turn off the engine. Does anyone know how to make it stop? My youngest is 17, and I don’t have grandkids, so there’s really no need for this feature.
That’s the rear occupant alert. You can turn it off in your radio settings – I can’t remember the exact steps, but I disabled mine a while back.

Thanks! That’s exactly what I needed to look for.
Settings > Vehicle > Rear Occupant Alert.
@Finn
I have a 2020, and every 90 days it asks if I’m sure I want the alert turned off! What I really need to turn off is the ‘Washer Fluid Low’ warning that comes on when it’s barely half full.
Edit: Typing is hard today.
@Dallas
The washer fluid warning is the worst! The sensor must be super high in the tank. I’m tempted to bypass it so it thinks it’s always full.
@Dallas
I called my dealer when I had a check engine light, and he joked that I must go through washer fluid fast. Nope, just parking on a slope seems to set it off!
@Finn
Just a heads up, it’ll ask every six months if you’d like to reactivate the rear occupant alert.

I turned mine off on my 2020 and haven’t seen the prompt since. Maybe it’s different for hybrids?
@Hollis
I’ve had both a 2020 SEL AWD and now a 2023 ST-Line, and both remind me every six months. You might miss it since it pops up when you start the vehicle.
Yep, I turned mine off in the settings. It’ll ask you again after a year if you want to turn it back on.
Check the owner’s manual; it should have instructions on this.
Just hit the close button.
You can turn it off through the screen menu. If you’re having trouble finding it, the owner’s manual has all the steps.
