Considering my first Ford... Should I go for it or look elsewhere?

Honestly, save your money and get a used Toyota or Honda SUV. They’ll be more reliable in the long run.

I’ve thought about it, but I just can’t fall in love with the styling of the new RAV4.

@Chen
Yeah, the new Toyota designs are pretty strange, except for the Land Cruiser. If I could drive anything, I’d probably pick a Mercedes W124 wagon.

I do like the new Corolla Cross Hybrid, but it’s a bit out of my budget.

I have a 2022 Escape with the 1.5 engine. It’s an okay car, no thrills, but it’s a good daily driver. I’ve put 60k miles on it with no issues.

That’s good to hear. For me, though, it’s the little comfort things that matter. I’m 5’7” and can’t rest my elbow on the center console or armrest and touch the steering wheel in the Escape. I can in my wife’s Pilot and my CR-V, and it makes a difference when you’re driving a lot.
