Just picked up a 2001 Escape with only 33k miles on it. Found it on Craigslist, and it’s in great shape for its age. Curious to hear your thoughts or any tips from fellow Escape owners!
That’s crazy low mileage. Treat it right! I’m still driving my 2001 Escape, but it’s got 150k more miles than yours!
How in the world did you find one with 33k miles? And if you don’t mind, how much did it cost?

I found it on Craigslist. It was owned by a 91-year-old woman who gave up her license. Paid $3,600 for it.
@Vesper
Man, you hit the jackpot. That’s the kind of story car dealers used to sell people on back in the day.
Looks amazing! The body is in great shape. Same color combo as my 2002 Escape.

Thanks! It’s not perfect, but the low miles made it worth it. I detailed it yesterday with a clay bar and wax. There was a lot of overspray on the paint, but it’s looking much better now.
Weird coincidence, but every car I’ve owned has been from 2001. My current ride is a 2001 too!
I had a 2002 Escape with 230k miles before I sold it to a friend. No Boundaries rack on top. I think the 2001 and 2002 were pretty much the same.
That’s clean as hell. Enjoy it!
Wow, that’s one sharp-looking car! Haven’t seen one that clean since, well, 2001!
Damn, I envy you people in warm climates with these older Escapes. They hold up so much better.
That’s a great find. I’m always checking estate auctions for deals like this, but no luck so far.
What a beast.
Looks amazing!
Dexter vibes.
