Get it! I bought my 2011 with 99k miles and now it’s over 300k four years later. Regular maintenance and oil changes go a long way. I wasn’t a Ford fan initially—my first car was a ‘92 Crown Vic with issues—but I’d definitely buy another Escape after this one.
That’s an awesome find. Well done!
Go for it!
It won’t win any races, but it’ll get you where you need to go. Great deal.
Just make sure it doesn’t have an oil leak. If not, you got yourself a great deal.

Had it for about a month now. No leaks or problems yet!
Honestly, I’d grab it.
Lucky find!
You basically stole that. Good deal.
I had an 09 XLT 4WD. There was a major throttle body recall they didn’t catch early on. Check if it’s been fixed or if it’s under extended warranty.
It was my favorite Escape before I upgraded to an F150. Congrats!
Got my 2012 with 70k miles for $4,500. Only issue was the throttle body, but it’s been solid since. My 2009, though… different story, LOL.
Ford shouldn’t have messed with the classic mini-SUV design. The older ones had a unique look that stood out. They should’ve kept improving that instead of blending in with other brands.
Great buy. Keep an eye out for rust on the quarter panels.
Anyone know what a good price is to sell an 08 Escape Hybrid FWD with 180k miles? It’s got some body rust but is mechanically solid. It was a fleet car and was regularly maintained with AMSOIL fluids and all recalls addressed. I can’t get the paperwork since it’s company records, but a friend in the garage verified everything.
I’ve done the following since getting it: oil change, transmission fluid change, coolant changes, air filters, cleaned headlights, and replaced the tires and brake pads.
The only issue is a clicking noise when holding the brake down. It sounds like something is trying to engage but isn’t. I recalibrated the brake pedal, and the sensor under the master cylinder seems fine.
Bought it as a temporary commuter, but now I’m curious what I could get for it.
Junk.
