A few days ago, my radio quit on me. After some troubleshooting, my husband figured it was probably the ACM, so we decided to go for a full upgrade. He installed a new one yesterday (still working on getting the backup cam hooked up), and it’s awesome! The old radio struggled with picking up stations, and while the new one has better sound, it’s still hit-or-miss with some stations. He’s trying to improve the reception, but at least we have audio again!
Sounds like there might be an issue with the antenna connector or the wiring between the antenna and the radio.

Yep, my husband thinks so too. He ordered a new antenna and cables and plans to trace everything back to make sure it’s all securely connected.
How much did it cost, and did you install it yourself?

It was $120, and my husband did the install.
Can you share the link? Also, does it support Wireless Android Auto? I’m not a fan of units without a volume knob, but I might get past that.

Here’s the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BJ6QXV72?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
It does support Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. I agree about the lack of a volume knob, but I mostly use the steering wheel controls, so it’s not a huge deal for me, and I’m happy to have navigation.
@Davin
Does it still let you use the steering wheel controls?

Yep! There’s a menu for programming the steering wheel buttons, and the setup was really easy. All the controls work just fine.

Do the steering wheel controls work?
@Skye
Yes, you have to program them, but it comes with instructions, and it’s super simple.
Let’s see those stickers on the blank plates!

Haha! I made them myself using my vinyl cutter.

Thanks! My mom borrowed my car once with my 7-year-old nephew. He was afraid she’d press the ‘eject’ or ‘missile’ buttons by accident, but he really wanted to press the ‘banana’ button!
@Davin
Of course! That’s the snack button!
But isn’t navigating through the aux > menu > media settings > select source > USB just the best part?

I’ve had the car a year and never used aux, so I guess I missed out on that experience.
Was the installation hard?

My husband says:
It wasn’t difficult. Everything plugs in where it’s supposed to, unlike the old days of splicing wires. If you’re comfortable building a PC, it’s no issue. If not, take some pics before unplugging anything.
He did have to extend the wire for the backup cam, as we powered it from the reverse light on the passenger side. Other than that, it was plug-and-play. Just be careful when removing the front plastic housing to avoid breaking any clips.
